Back then

A year without new projects. There have been so many changes in life, including moving abroad and many efforts to keep developing as a practicing psychologist online. But I stay true to myself and so to my passion for photography. Glad to be back!

So, long story short, exactly one year ago, in August 2022 I traveled to the south of Russia, where the inhabitants of the former USSR were vacationing. By the end of the trip I managed to collect a whole range of impressions - from terrible to delightful

This project combines southern nature, Soviet heritage, 69 years of Soviet history, tourist locations and completely non-tourist views that evoke such different emotions. The project also includes photos from the USSR Museum in Sochi. The museum fascinated me so much that after spending 4 hours there before closing on the first day, I had to come back the next day to spend another 3 hours there

Despite the fact that different things are said and known about USSR times, almost all residents of the Soviet Union now say that "back then there were stability, we were happy and citizens were kind"

What I loved most about the museum was a complete immersion in that era and the opportunity to interact with all the presented objects from the life of a typical Soviet person. Museum address - Navaginskaya, 7/3, Sochi 354000 Russia

South of the post-Soviet space in my new project "Back then" - enjoy!
